Sony recently revealed that several titles would be getting some serious upgrades for the PlayStation 5 Pro in an official post on their blog yesterday, with Capcom revealing that two of their games will be targeting higher frame rates on the system.

The blog post featured a series of quotes from several different developers, with each one sharing details regarding the upgrades that their titles will be receiving on Sony’s new hardware.

Capcom specified that Resident Evil Village “runs at a higher framerate, making the dynamic action even more intense” on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

“For Resident Evil Village,” stated Capcom, “we added 120fps gameplay to provide the best possible user experience on PS5 Pro. Thanks to this major performance boost, the unique and memorable cast of characters looks even more realistic, adding greatly to the scare factor, and the action scenes have more punch than ever before.”

This isn’t the only Capcom title with confirmed upgrades for the PS5 Pro however, as Capcom USA's Social Media & Community Manager Joseph Bustos revealed that Dragon's Dogma 2 would also be getting some tweaks.

“Dragon’s Dogma 2 will benefit from the power of the PS5 Pro, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) and new ray tracing technology, allowing improved framerates”, according to Bustos.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 upgrades might be a little more exciting than the Resident Evil Village ones personally, considering the reported dips in frame rate the game experiences in some of the game’s higher-density areas.

Several other third-party titles are also reported to be receiving PS5 upgrades in the same blog post, such as F1 24, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

It’s more than likely several other games will also receive launch updates for the PS5 Pro’s release, but have yet to be officially set in stone - so keep an eye out for further announcements closer to its release.
