Upcoming PS5 RPG Is One for Studio Ghibli Fans

A magical RPG awaits

This Studio Ghibli inspired RPG is already catching the eye of the cosy gamers out there and we can't get enough of just how stunning it looks.

If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli, or Kiki’s Delivery Service to be more exact, then you will want to keep an eye out on this upcoming PlayStation 5 release.

Developed by Sunny Lab, The Witch’s Bakery is an upcoming 2D-adventure RPG where you will take on the role of a witchy baker in the streets of Paris.

As you heal the hearts of its residents with your baked goods, you will also need to manage your store and visit the beautiful and iconic streets of the French capital to meet its eclectic characters.

With stunning handmade visuals offering a retro feel, The Witch’s Bakery will see you play as witch Lunne and it will be up to her to cure the emotions of her customers one croissant at a time.

That is because the game will progress over three phases throughout each day.

According to the press release, the daytime hours will see Lunne manage her bakery and serve customers alongside friends.

However, during the afternoon, she will need to take to the streets of Paris to build relationships, discover the city’s secrets, and even help her friends with any worries or requests they may have. Finally, at night, Lunne can rest, improve her magic, decorate and improve her bakery or even spend time in her cosy atelier.

Whether you are kneading bread, skipping through Parisian streets, or taking on the troubles of your dedicated customers, you are bound to find something to pass the time in The Witch’s Bakery.

We can't find the words to express just how much joy we feel right now.”

The Witch’s Bakery is available to add to your wishlist on both the PlayStation Store and Steam so if this Studio Ghibli-esque RPG sounds like your cup of tea, keep an eye on its development ahead of its 2026 release.
