When the PlayStation 5 Pro was first released this time last year, many PlayStation 5 users questioned if it was worth making the upgrade.

However, there is one PlayStation 5 Pro feature that may just convince users to make the leap as it will see you gain access to a whole new library of games.

Released back in November 2024, the PlayStation 5 Pro offered gamers the chance to experience an upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven technology, making it an improvement on the base PlayStation 5 Pro.

However, for those who do not necessarily care about improved graphics, the price point just was not worth the upgrade.

That being said, information regarding one PlayStation 5 Pro feature has once again gone viral a year on from it first being discovered.

The feature in question allows users to access over 8,500 PlayStation 4 games via their PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.

This can be achieved by heading to Settings and turning on the ‘Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games’ setting, ultimately allowing you to enjoy PS4 games with higher image quality.

However, it is worth noting that the ‘Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games’ setting requires a 2160p or 1440p (60Hz) monitor.

Additionally, you can find enhanced games on the PS5 Pro by heading to the PlayStation Store and selecting the ‘Collections’ tab.

Once here, select the PS5 Pro Enhanced banner.

As mentioned, this exciting feature was first noticed with the launch of the PlayStation 5 Pro but has still managed to gain traction once again in recent days.

It just goes to show how many PS5 features are going unnoticed despite the base console soon celebrating its five-year anniversary.

“I still play CoD Ghost from PS4 on my PS5 Pro. It truly looks phenomenal!! Keep it up, guys!” One user shared on Twitter.

Play a graphically improved Bloodborne

However, another user pointed out an important distinction.

“This only works for games that run at native 1080p or below btw, and for those games it’s a huge improvement,” they shared.

“Anything released past 2017 with a PS4 Pro enhancement doesn’t benefit from this though, which is a massive shame.”

Not only that but this feature will allow PS5 Pro users to play one of PlayStation 4’s best games: Bloodborne.

With no remaster or remake on the horizon, this seems to be the only legitimate way you can experience the FromSoftware title with slightly enhanced performance.

If there was ever a reason to purchase the PS5 Pro, it is surely this.
