Stellar Blade is the next big PlayStation 5 exclusive arriving this week and it’s been met with some pre-launch controversy.
Stellar Blade is an action-adventure RPG that shares a lot of similarities with the likes of Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, at least in terms of gameplay. However, this PlayStation 5 exclusive perhaps shares a little more in common with Bayonetta given the fact that Stellar Blade has a playable protagonist that can be considered as having an eye-catching design.

Check out the Stellar Blade trailer below!
“The future of humanity is balanced on the edge of a blade. Ravaged by strange, powerful creatures, Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of the decimated human race has fled to a Colony in outer space,” reads the synopsis of Stellar Blade.
“After travelling from the Colony, Eve arrives on the desolate remains of our planet with a clear-cut mission: to save humankind by reclaiming Earth from the Naytiba – the malevolent force that has devastated it. But as Eve tackles the Naytiba one by one, piecing together the mysteries of the past in the ruins of human civilisation, she realises that her mission is far from straightforward. In fact, almost nothing is as it seems.”

There have seemingly been discussions within the video game community over whether Stellar Blade will be cut in some regions to see that it’s released in as many territories as possible. This is down to the fact that some cultures are more reserved regarding certain types of content.
In particular, Japan is a country that often cuts video games that can be deemed to be too gory or in the Middle East, games can be cut if it's seen to be overly sexualised. However, in a recent tweet, the developers at Skill Up have assured its community that Stellar Blade will be uncensored in all regions.

“Stellar Blade offers the same uncensored version in all countries, including the Japanese version,” reads the tweet. That being said, it’s not specified which content has been brought into question that may or may not be cut, so we’ll just have to leave that to our imagination.
Stellar Blade will be released this week on 26 April for PlayStation 5 and can be ore-ordered on Amazon. What’s more, there’s also a playable demo available to download for free via the PlayStation Store right now.
