One of the weirdest, most wonderful-looking PlayStation 5 titles is unfortunately getting delayed until 2025, according to a recent update from its publisher.
And, by “update” I mean that they announced that the title would be delayed during their most recent “15th Annual Devolver Delayed Awards”.
Astro Bot could potentially win Game Of The Year, do you think it's good enough to take the award home?
Baby Steps is an upcoming “literal walking simulator” from developers Gabe Cuzzillo, Maxi Boch and Bennett Foddy.

You might recognise a few of those names, as they’ve all been involved in developing some of the most stressful games ever made.
Both Cuzzillo and Boch worked on the 2019 banger APE OUT (which is 80% off on Steam right now, highly recommend it) and Foddy is the sadomasochist responsible for both QWOP and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.
Baby Steps follows in the, uh, steps of Foddy’s previous work, in the sense that playing it looks to be an actively stressful experience.
You play as Nate, an unemployed 30-year-old loser who still lives with his parents and spends all of his free time watching One Piece. Is this hitting a little bit too close to home for the Facebook comment section?

Controlling Nate is supposed to be difficult and unwieldy, assumedly because his legs have atrophied after too many consecutive years freeloading in his parent’s basement.
Honestly, just watching the trailer for the game is stressing me out. Thank God I’m not a Twitch streamer.
Publisher Devolver Digital don’t seem too bothered by Baby Steps’ delay however, as they lauded the developers for having the “courage and determination to delay their game into the next fiscal year” at the 15th Annual Devolver Delayed Awards last night.
That being said, I wouldn’t put it past a goofy publisher like Devolver Digital to release one of these “delayed” titles on the 1st of January, so keep an eye out for any Baby Steps-related news in the near future.
