Please, make it happen!

PlayStation Plus users unite over The Simpsons Hit & Run coming to Sony’s subscription service and we totally agree.

Released on PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Xbox, 2003’s The Simpsons Hit & Run is a cult classic game, perhaps even for those who don't care much for the popular and long-running animated sitcom that is the source of its inspiration.

Check out the best Simpsons games ever below!

The Simpsons Hit & Run isn't a perfect game, not by a long stretch, as indicated by its score of 76 on Metacritic. However, there was something special about this game, which was considered to be a family-friendly version of Grand Theft Auto at the time of its release.

This cult classic not only captured the essence of the animated sitcom but most importantly, it was good old, silly fun and is still a fantastic game to play today. As such, while there seems to be no sign of an official remake or remaster, fans would love to see The Simpsons Hit & Run on PlayStation Plus.

As reported by Push Square, a list compiled by gamers on the Implicit Conversions Discord channel puts The Simpsons Hit & Run at the top of a list of games that users would love to see on PS Plus.

The Simpsons Hit & Run topped the likes of GTA: Vice City Stories, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Silent Hill 2 (the original game), and more.

I don't know all the ins and outs of why Activision, who owns The Simpsons Hit & Run license, hasn't revived this fan-favourite game. Perhaps it could be due to licensing issues with Disney, the company that now owns the rights to the TV series.

All I know for sure, whether it’s on PlayStation Plus, a remaster or a remake, if The Simpsons Hit & Run was revived today in any shape or form, it would no doubt prove to be a massive hit with fans.
