PlayStation Plus gamers urged to download 'must-play' banger before it's removed

PlayStation Plus gamers urged to download 'must-play' banger before it's removed

It's rated "Overwhelming Positive" on Steam, by the way

Several PlayStation Plus subscribers have warned that a "totally underrated" title will be leaving the service soon, and to make sure that you give it a go while you’ve still got the chance.

19 different games will be PlayStation Plus in December (shout out to Sean Lawson over on TrueTrophies for compiling a list of them), yet the only title I’ve personally never played is the one game that subscribers are begging folks to actually try.

Over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit, user Modo97 has taken it upon themselves to alert everyone that “one of the best platformers [they’ve] played in the last few years” has clearly been overlooked by the majority of the community.

That game is Tinykin, a 2022 puzzle platformer from developer Splashteam.

Given all of the praise behind this game, I’m starting to see why so many people are suddenly recommending it.

It has a whopping 95% “Critics Recommend” score over on OpenCritic, and 98% of its reviews on Steam are positive (earning it the much-desired “Overwhelming Positive” score on the platform).

It looks like a very cute little Pikmin-inspired romp, with a bit of Paper Mario inspiration thrown in for good measure.

Back over on the r/PlayStationPlus thread, every single comment has nothing except praise for TinyKin.

“One of the best games on Ps Plus” commented user juanxyo, “Everything works in a masterful way. Totally underrated”.

“Tinykin is a joy to play”, replied user norsefirebrand11, “Well made, polished, and fun secrets to discover. Skating on a bar of soap is fun!”

Alright well, I’m convinced. Guess I know what I’m doing with my evening.

By the sounds of things, Tinykin (as well the other PlayStation Plus Extra games that are leaving the service) won’t be available from December 17 next month. Leaves you plenty of time to grab the platinum trophy, if you’re into that kind of thing.
