PlayStation Plus free game is one of the most gorgeous open worlds you've ever seen

Few games will ever look this good

PlayStation Plus gets a lot of negativity, but there are many beautiful games to be found in amongst the duds everyone keeps moaning about. One such game is a gorgeous open-world experience that's sure to blow you away with its good looks and heartfelt narrative.

Earlier this week, PS Plus’ December free games were officially announced, and while this month is an improvement on November, not everyone is sold on whether the service is worthwhile anymore.

Embrace the beauty of Sable with its summer trailer

Seeing as a ceasefire, of sorts, has been called in regards to cancelling subscriptions as a form of protest, we want to remind you all that there’s a PS Plus free game currently available that's one of the most stunning games we’ve ever laid eyes on – and we’ve seen many, many, great looking games over the year.

Sable is almost too beautiful. Its Mœbius-inspired visuals, as seen at just the right angle, as the sun breaks over a sand dune and a breeze whips up the dust, are breathtaking,” is how we described the 2021 title and we’ll stick by that. Yes, it suffered from bugs, but at the centre of the game is a tale worth sticking around for.

Fans even now praise its vast beauty, saying how it’s a “great, yet flawed game”, though one they’d still recommend in spite of its issues. It’s not often gamers will champion a buggy game, with only the likes of Fallout: New Vegas and other such classics lucky enough to be hailed as iconic despite the glitches we had to deal with.

“I really liked the story myself. It has that fantastic slice-of-life feel to it with a couple of bigger optional mysteries to find [...] It’s not the best game out there, but there’s a specialness to it that a lot of the 9/10 competently executed AAA games have no hope of capturing,” said one fan.

If you want to experience that “specialness” for yourselves, don’t sleep on Sable being available as a free game on PS Plus.
