I wish I was one of those people with the ability to head on over to PlayStation Plus with a specific game in mind.
I’d just hit the download button, and hop in as soon as possible; no time wasted.
I’m afraid I’m not though. I’ll spend an hour browsing, narrowing it down to five or so options.

I’ll then ‘um’ and ‘ah’ as I ponder which to commit to.
If you’re the same, allow me to try and ease your woe.
The PlayStation Plus community has gathered to recommend a must-play game, and I’m totally on board with them.
If you haven’t played this one already, you need to go about changing that promptly.

It’s time to download Ghost of Tsushima.
There’s really no better time with Ghost of Yōtei on the way later this year.
Reddit user SledgeHammer556 was the first to recommend Sucker Punch’s 2020 action-adventure masterpiece: “Please try this game if you haven’t.”

As I’m sure you’re aware, Ghost of Tsushima centres around Jin Sakai, a samurai tasked with protecting the island of Tsushima during a Mongol invasion.
“Still one of the best open world games I’ve played to date. Such a beautiful landscape and art style,” added KureCobain93.
“The game is amazing, beautiful and some of the best combat,” replied Zero-B_Gaming.
Of course, Ghost of Tsushima is hardly an under-appreciated indie or anything of the like, but that doesn’t mean it’s undeserving of a shoutout.

I’ll admit, I only got around to finally playing it in 2023 and I felt a tad silly for leaving it for so long.
It’s easily one of my favourite open world games I’ve ever played.
I do understand the criticism that going for 100% can make some of the side content feel a tad repetitive but personally, I found a sense of relaxation in that.
And as I alluded to above, Ghost of Yōtei is coming out later this year, so it’s best that you catch up on the series before then, particularly as I wouldn’t be surprised if Ghost of Tsushima was removed from PlayStation Plus ahead of then to maximise on sales.

Ghost of Yōtei won’t overly rely on prior knowledge as it’s set several hundred years after Jin’s journey, but you’ll at least have some idea of what to expect from the sequel.
Hop in to Ghost of Tsushima ASAP.
