PlayStation announces 14 free games for you to download for October

The treats continue

Another fresh batch of free games have been announced for PlayStation Plus.

We always know that a new PlayStation Plus day is coming. Yet our excitement never decreases, not even when rumours swirl that November's free games lineup leaves much to be desired.

Before we get bogged down in possible what ifs, let's celebration the fine array of games we've already had this October.

When the first round of free titles dropped for PS Plus, fans were delighted to see a classic PS1 survival horror revived.

It wasn't just old favourites returning though, there were also beloved contemporary experiences thrown into the mix as well for October's Essential collection.

The Last of Us Part 1 is arguably one of the most popular games to join the monthly service. Now that it's free to enjoy, we feel that everyone should play this masterpiece.

This is assuming you have enough time to fit all of this gaming in now that the Extra and Premium games have landed.

Let's take a look at how many titles we're getting for October and what they include.

A whopping 14 new free games are here, including a mix of classic and modern adventures.

We've got a lot of ground to cover, so buckle up.

This October, you'll gain access to Dead Island 2, Two Point Campus, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, Gris, and Return to Monkey Island to name but a few.

That's not all though. Users will also be able to play enhanced versions of Dino Crisis, and Siren. These two games are 90s and 00s experiences that are iconic for their gripping stories and memorable visuals.

As always, these classics are for PS Plus Premium members only. If that isn't you, better luck next time.

Even without the addition of the Premium only titles, there's still a lot of experiences to explore, some of which are more hair-raising than others; we're looking at you, Devil in Me.

These free games will start to become available from 15 October onwards.
