As for how this works, a PlayStation 4 Pro in good condition holds a value of £100 with BackMarket offering a £50 ‘Trade-Up Voucher’ for those looking to upgrade as opposed to just trade in.
That’s how you nab £150 off a PlayStation 5. A PS5 Digital costs £429, so with the discount, it would set you back just £279.

Of course, that example valuation is for a PlayStation 4 Pro, so what’s offered will vary depending on the type and condition of your console.
You’ll be able to get a value though before shipping your console in.
As for what you can trade in for, you aren’t limited to a certain PS5. You can opt for a PlayStation 5 Pro, base model, or one bundled with an additional DualSense.
You can also trade in your PS4 for a PSVR2 if you really want to, although I doubt that’s going to be the most popular choice.
