We don’t even have official confirmation of the PlayStation 6, nor the possible date it could arrive, and fans are already sick of hearing about it.
If you were to ask me, a humble player of games, I would say that PlayStation console generations should be much longer, allowing for us to experience more games for our investment.
We'd say you've got a few more years of PlayStation 5 since we only just got the Pro console
However, technology will march on as rapidly as time itself, and companies will sell us shiny new versions of the things we love.

We’ve written about the PlayStation 6 a few times recently, because rumours are swirling on the components of the chipset, and event the possible release date.
Over on Reddit, one Sony fan isn’t happy with the information coming out regarding the next step in the PlayStation brand.
“I literally just bought a PS5, and now I hear there will be a PS6 soon. My shelf already has a PS2, 3, 4 and 5. I don't have any space for a PS6,” says AluminumManUK.
It seems their issue isn’t so much that the PlayStation 6 is coming, more that it won’t likely be backward compatible or utilise save files from older consoles.

Other fans are quick to reassure the original poster, with one saying, “PS6 won't come out for at least three years. Maybe even longer, taking into account the storage shortages and the longer transitionary period between the PS4 and 5.”
Another user, rocademiks, says, “PlayStation 6 will not arrive for at least another two to three years. We are approaching the peak of PS5. Enjoy it, but for the PS6 do your best to acquire it day one so that you're getting your money's worth for it.”
It definitely feels too early to be looking forward to the PlayStation 6, but it’s safe to say we’ve got a few years left.
One last piece of reassurance comes from Enigma_Green who commented, “They will use the same similar Chipset to PS4 and PS5 so you can play backwards compatibility, if they don't I would really be surprised TBH.”
