PlayStation gamers are torn over the rumoured PS6 leak detailing its potential system specs and release date.
Sony hasn't announced its PlayStation 6 yet, but that hasn't stopped eager gamers from speculating and who doesn't love a bit of gossip? However, following a recent leak, gamers have had a bit more to chat about recently.

Sony has been a busy bee over the past 12 months, not only launching the PlayStation 5 Pro but in recent months we’ve also had the newly revised PS5 slim as well as a swanky new handheld device with the PlayStation Portal.

This week, the apparent PlayStation 6 system specs have leaked and it seems like Sony’s next-gen console will be an absolute powerhouse. As such, the gaming community has responded on Reddit.
“I think the next gen will be released by 2028,” J4B055 suggested.
“Insomniac Games’ leaked schedule had Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and the next Ratchet & Clank game set for 2028 and 2029, respectively. I'm 100% sure those two are PS6 exclusives, so a November 2028 release date seems like a safe bet,” replied HearTheEkko.
“The next three years of hardware development is generally planned in advance. Three years from now would put us at 2027/2028, seven to eight years after the release of the PS5,” Deceptiveideas explained.

“Why should they use Zen4 if it's released in 2026 or later? Makes no sense to me,” asked M4deman, making a very valid point. However, the rumours did claim that a Zen5 CPU is a possibility.
“Yeah, that one is a bit questionable. I think it would use Zen5 or Zen6, replied Fidler_2K.
“Zen4 vs Zen5 makes zero sense to me. Zen5 is already out and the PS5 is only halfway through its lifecycle,” Loldimorti explained. “By the time PS6 comes out, PCs will be running Zen7 or 8. Using Zen5 or even 4 would make the PS6 already massively outdated at launch.”
At this time, we should take all speculation with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, I doubt Sony will be in a rush to announce the PlayStation 6 anytime soon, especially when the PS5 Pro has not long been released.
