PlayStation gamers losing store credit over Concord shutdown

PlayStation gamers losing store credit over Concord shutdown

Claim the credit before it’s too late

Gamers are urged to claim free PlayStation credit before Sony takes it away.

Following the colossal flop that is the 5v5 PlayStation 5 multiplayer shooter, Concord, reports are making the rounds that gamers are losing PS Stars points for campaigns that have been completed with Sony’s rewards scheme.

Check out the Concord trailer below!

After being in development for years, Sony pulled Concord from sale less than two weeks after it launched on PC and PlayStation 5. From the moment Concord was announced during a State of Play last June it was being roasted by fans for being an Overwatch and Guardians of the Galaxy knockoff.

Things got worse for developer Firewalk Studios once Concord launched on 23 August 2024 with complaints about uninspired gameplay, lacklustre characters and an instantly forgettable story. So when Concord was cancelled, Sony began the process of refunding everyone who decided to purchase the game digitally.

It’s fair to say that before its launch, Sony had high hopes for Concord with it featuring in an upcoming series on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service called Secret Level. What’s more, Concord was also featured on PS Stars campaigns rewarding players with an easy 100 points for either pre-ordering the game or purchasing it post-launch via the PlayStation Store.

However, as reported by PlayStationLifestyle, not only have the PS Stars campaigns related to Concord been removed but reports claim that gamers are having previously earned points from those campaigns deleted from their account.

So in other words, if you have 100 reward points on your PlayStation Stars account that you either earned by pre-ordering or purchasing Concord post-launch (which has now been refunded), you might want to spend them ASAP before you lose them forever.

Even if you don’t have enough reward points to claim £5 credit on the PlayStation Store, purchasing a digital collectable to display on your PS mobile app is surely better than nothing.
