PlayStation 5 fans rejoice as you will soon have a new RPG to play and it’ll be completely free when it releases. You won’t need PlayStation Plus to claim it, either.
Wuthering Waves is the latest Gacha game to come out of China for mobile platforms, where it’s performing well. However, the developers, Kuro Games, are now targeting the PlayStation 5.
Another free-to-play game to come out recently is Once Human which can be played for free through Steam
Most developers of mobile Gacha RPGs tend to focus on the Japanese console which is also home to Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and the new Zenless Zone Zero.

It seems Wuthering Waves will be the next hit game to capture audiences with its anime stylings and engaging characters.
The timeline for the game's arrival is somewhat up in the air as the developer only announced the game a few days ago, and it’s more than just a simple port.
Fans over on Reddit are a bit confused however as they all thought the PS5 version was already in development.
It has been rumoured for a long time that a PS5 version was in the works, and one Redditor, macon04 highlighted the message from Kuro Games, “We are excited to announce that the PS5 version of Wuthering Waves is now officially in development.”

This means it’s likely them ‘officially’ announcing the game and confirming what many already thought.
However, this led to more speculation with one fan saying, “Officially in development see you in another 2 years” as it seems that many believe it could take some time for the PS5 version to be completed.
When the game does finally release it will be completely free to play like many other Gacha games, and feature monetisation in-game.
This means you won’t need PlayStation Plus to download and play the game. Wuthering Waves fans are thrilled to see that more people will be able to play and they can move on from their mobile platforms soon.
