PlayStation’s latest free demo is for an upcoming charming game sequel that many of us have all been waiting for.
If you’re a cosy game fan, there’s no doubt you’ve heard of the Coffee Talk series.
This series of visual novels has become famous for its ‘90s anime style and lofi chillhop genre of music, where you make drinks for paying customers and listen to their stories.
Two games are available at the moment, Coffee Talk and Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. However, a new game in the series is launching later this year.

Coffee Talk Tokyo, a spin-off set in Japan, will launch sometime in 2025 and features the same retro cosy vibes you have come to expect from the series.
It's only coming to PC and current-generation consoles, seemingly skipping the PS4 and Xbox One this time for whatever reason.
Developer Chorus Worldwide Games promises Coffee Talk Tokyo will “bring back familiar elements with new twists.” Lucky for us, we’ll be able to play it a little earlier than launch thanks to a new free demo.
The demo for Coffee Talk Tokyo was already available on Steam, but it’s now landed on PS5 for everyone to download and play.

The best thing about it is you don’t even need PlayStation Plus Premium for it—simply download and play.
“Coffee Talk Tokyo is the newest instalment of the beloved coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator,” reads the description on the PlayStation Store. “It brings the warmth, heart, and delicious drinks from the previous games to an all-new café in Tokyo where humans and yokai alike share their stories.
“This is the demo for Coffee Talk Tokyo. Play the first Day to meet the customers, brew delicious drinks and listen to new lo-fi beats.”
Coffee Talk Tokyo has been given a rough release window of 2025.
