PlayStation fans are angry because a key PlayStation service that is well-loved by the community of players is currently out of service with no signs of returning.
It has been several days since the outage started and fans have taken to message boards and social media to voice their anger.
Elden Ring's fist and only DLC will be available on PlayStation this month.
PlayStation Stars is a service that rewards players for playing games, as well buying them. Essentially, you get rewarded for actions taken on your PlayStation console and you can redeem the stars for digital sculptures, or even store credit for the PSN store.

Quite often there will be campaigns urging you to play certain games for a larger reward than normal and this whole service has been down, breaking up campaign times and leaving players unsure if they’re even earning stars while the service is down.
It’s been over a week now and fans are filling Reddit with threads about the situation. Taken from one of the threads, fans saw the service unavailable for days before Sony put out any kind of message.
“It took them a week to put that up? This thing's gonna be down for a while, isn't it?” says one frustrated user.
In the same thread, another Redditor echoed the complaints of tardiness on Sony’s part saying, “I was about to share it with you guys. What bothers me with this notification is not that it's late, but the fact that it's useless, no real info.”

This comes after Sony sent a message to users saying, “PlayStation Stars is currently experiencing issues. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution.”
A lot of players are claiming they didn’t get the notification and are furious that the rewards system is down when so many games are coming out. One message that sums up the current question is, “Are we still getting points for purchases though?”
There has been no more word from Sony on this. We’ll keep you updated once we know more.
