According to a leak reported on Reddit, the specs of the PlayStation 6 are currently being decided and out in place.
You might be thinking it’s a little early to start the PlayStation 6 rumour mill, but when you consider that we’re four years into the lifecycle of the PlayStation 5, Sony will be thinking of the next steps.
We've only just got the PS5 Pro and now we're hearing rumours of what's next
As detailed in the Reddit post, the news comes from a solid leaker, zhangzhonghao, who has been reliable in the past.

It’s said that Sony’s next console will feature either the Zen 4 or Zen 5 version of AMD’s UDNA, which is a new codename for RDNA5.
Some are questioning the validity of the claims given that the Zen 4 chipset is already aging so we would assume it would be targeting Zen 5 or even Zen 6.
As one Redditor puts it, “By the time PS6 comes out PCs will be running Zen 7 or 8. Using Zen 5 or even 4 would make the PS6 already massively outdated at launch.”
It would still be a beast of a machine though, with Zen 5 at the wheel, and let’s be honest, consoles will always be a step behind the big PC components.

This is all speculation, of course. These details could very well be fake or spread to hide the actual dealings going on behind the scenes.
Suffice it to say, it begs the question, just what will a PS6 be capable of?
Will it run a more ‘real to life’ graphical style? Or simply speed up everything under the hood?
If the console does have a Zen 5 running it, it’s going to be a step up from what we currently have and will process games significantly faster.

But I think most techheads will be eyeing something even faster.
