According to the team behind the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn remaster, the project is only the “first” in a line of big PlayStation-related projects.
As seemingly first noticed by Zarmena Khan at PlayStation Lifestyle, a poster on the ResetEra forum shared a screenshot from a Nixxes Software employee on LinkedIn.
“After five PlayStation PC ports, the first big PlayStation content project from Nixxes Software is coming up!”, read the screenshot.

“This remaster for PS5 and PC involves a lot of hard work from both our tech and art teams. It’s amazing to see how this project has progressed and I can’t wait to share more details from the team in the weeks coming up to launch!”
Now, thankfully, the identity of the LinkedIn poster has been obscured, but its verifying its legitimacy is relatively straightforward.
The implication here that’s set people buzzing is that “first” part, which many have taken to believe means that several more Nixxes-led PlayStation titles will be getting the remake/remaster treatment for either the PS5 or the PS6.
Although Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered may be the first PlayStation title that Nixxes Software have, well, remastered, it’s certainly not the first PlayStation title they’ve worked on.

The Dutch team have been responsible for bringing several PlayStation 4 titles to PC, including Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Ratched & Clank: Rift Apart, and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut.
Sony Interactive Entertainment also acquired the developer back in 2021, and Nixxes work since then has consisted entirely of PlayStation-related ports and upgrades.
As many on the ResetEra forum have theorised, the Nixxes employee’s post on LinkedIn all but confirms that this will be the developer’s role within PlayStation moving forward. For all intents and purposes, Nixxes Software seems to be Sony’s remaster-focused studio.
The real question is, who do we think will be getting the Nixxes-treatment after Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered?

Please God let it be Bloodborne, I beg of you.
