The PlayStation 6 may still be a few years away from release but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating as to what exclusives we could have in store.

Last week saw the PlayStation 5 Pro finally get announced but thanks to its eye-watering price tag, many PlayStation fans have instead turned their attention to the potential PS6.

There is no doubt that we will see the PlayStation 6 over the next few years and with many insiders thinking it could feature some incredible specs, we will need an incredible game to go with it.

Which leads us to Hideo Kojima himself as many believe that the first PS6 exclusive game will indeed be a Kojima title.

This news comes courtesy of the State of Play event that took place earlier this year.

It saw Kojima Productions’ founder, Kojima joined by PlayStation Studios Head, Hermen Hulst, take to the big screen to talk about the upcoming title which many believe to be a spiritual successor to Metal Gear.

As the studio’s third original IP, its release as a potential PlayStation 6 exclusive will be a far cry away from Kojima’s ongoing partnership with Xbox.

However, this is perhaps unsurprising considering that his flagship Metal Gear series played a big role in PlayStation and Sony history.

As for the potential PS6 exclusive, Kojima himself describes it as a “next-generation action espionage game” and will be the focus of the studio after the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

As you can probably already imagine, fans are intrigued and the upcoming project has already been claimed as the “PlayStation 6 Metal Gear Solid”.

“PHYSINT (working title)” will be the third, new original IP since the establishment of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS,” Kojima revealed.

“It is a completely new “Action Espionage” for the next-generation.

It will be created using cutting-edge technology and the best talents from around the world, both from film and video games.

Of course this is an interactive “game”, but the look, story, theme, cast, acting, fashion, sound, etc... are all at the next level of “Digital Entertainment” that could be called a “movie””.
