Modern gaming hardware is always complicated, and we live in an age where instruction manuals aren’t really a thing.
This often leads to certain features being overlooked, or even worse, users not even knowing they exist, as is the case with this helpful PlayStation 5 tip from Reddit.
The latest console from Sony takes this generation one step further

So, it’s great when users like tonycomputerguy swing by with helpful tips on the PS5 subreddit.
They posted recently letting others know that, if you’re listening to music while playing games, you can handily bring up the media player by simply double-tapping the PS button on the controller.
While helpful, it actually goes a bit deeper than this, as explained by GTalmighty who explained, “It specifically brings up the last thing you used. I use it to quickly access party chat to adjust volumes or share screen to change from windowed to full screen etc.”
It’s a feature that mouser27 uses too, as they said, “I use it when trophy hunting to refer back to the trophy menu.”

This is something I was entirely unaware of, and it seems many others feel the same way.
Another Redditor, wolfgang784, replied, “Good to know. Having to go to media and reclick Spotify usually kicks me from games. This sounds like it might solve that.”
Little tips like this are often revealed by the community rather than the actual console developers, which can be frustrating.
The PS5 is a powerhouse console with so many great features, there are often too many to list - in fact, there are quite a few that players often overlook.

Now you know of this little tip too, and can take advantage of it when you’re next playing.
