The next PlayStation 5 console will reportedly be a huge improvement over the previous model, so much so it might as well be a PlayStation 6.
Leaks and inside information have been pointed towards a PlayStation 5 Pro releasing sometime this year, which would be the third new iteration Sony has introduced.
The second was the PlayStation 5 Slim which has quickly become the default PS5 model, sporting a slightly smaller frame and optional disc drive.
While Sony hasn’t confirmed the PS5 Pro’s existence, insider’s are adamant that it exists and believe it’ll be officially unveiled in the coming months with plans for an end-of-year launch.

Now new information has surfaced detailing some of the specs, and from the looks of it the new console is an absolute monster.
YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead posted a video outlining the specs found in a leaked document, revealing the console will have “higher GPU performance.”
It’s also said the PS5 Pro will be 45% more powerful, boasting a more advanced GPU as well as enhanced ray tracing, with the only downside being it’s a much larger console compared to the base PS5.
Of course the resolution will also be improved, so the first thing anyone should do when they get one is load up a game like Ghost Of Tsushima or Horizon: Forbidden West to soak in those crisp, clear visuals.

Unfortunately there was no mention in the document as to when we can expect the console to be revealed, nor any indication of how much the console might cost on launch day.
Since it’s clearly going to be more powerful than previous PlayStation 5 models it certainly won’t be cheap, though that raises another question of whether users will feel it’s a worthy upgrade.
That being said until Sony officially announces the console and what it can do, take the above leaks with a pinch of salt.
