Beloved PlayStation 5 exclusive teased for Xbox

Beloved PlayStation 5 exclusive teased for Xbox

It's been a long year

A beloved PlayStation 5 title is reportedly leaving exclusive access to head to Xbox and fans of the much-loved franchise are over the moon.

Released just over a year ago for the PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy XVI is the sixteenth main instalment in the Final Fantasy series and the latest to be released by Square Enix.

CHeck out the trailer for Final Fantasy XVI below!

Despite its original PS5 exclusivity, the title was reported to be in development for PC almost a year ago and now a new rumour reveals that it could also be heading to Xbox.

This news comes courtesy of insider NateDrake when they were questioned over the possibility.

FF16 on Xbox is going to happen”, they wrote. “Just waiting for Square to announce it”.

Although that is all the information we have so far, it is still an exciting time for fans who have yet to play it over a year on from its release.

It is worth noting that this news isn’t too shocking considering it is normal for console exclusive games to head to other platforms after a period of time.

However, if this is true, we can expect to see Final Fantasy XVI head to Xbox Series X/S soon and I think quite a few people are excited.

“Good. XVI is peak and everyone deserves to experience it in my opinion,” one comment read.

“The best boss fights this generation (minus that one leviathan DPS check wtf square???). We could see it at Gamescom maybe? Or if later, The Game Awards?”

We at GAMINGbible loved Final Fantasy XVI and awarded it an exceptional 9/10.

Our review read: “Final Fantasy XVI is truly an epic adventure. It has a fantastical story, over-the-top character performances, a sublime soundtrack, epic boss battles and it looks gorgeous to boot.

Seriously, what’s there not to love about this game?”
