While players have loved every minute of swinging and soaring through the gorgeous New York City, many players have taken the time to stop and look at the little details you might have missed.
One player found a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, the beloved actor famous for playing Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who unfortunately passed away in 2020 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Now, another player has found a tribute to a developer at Insomniac Games, Craig Goodman, who died during the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Reddit user Toy-Funtime came across a mural of the developer and asked players who the person was and why they were immortalised within the game. One user said, “One of the people at Insomniac passed away while the game was being made I think. So the dev team decided to immortalise him by putting a portrait of him in the game.”

Another noted he can be found when you “check the credits,” as he’s listed under “Eternal Insomniacs.” Then another player shared some of the games Goodman had worked on during his time with Insomniac Games, saying: “He was an Insomniac developer and employee who worked on Ratchet & Clank, among other titles. This portrait was Insomniac’s way of honouring him. It’s a touching tribute, really."
“There’s always going to be people that you never hear about or ever think twice about, but Insomniac obviously made it a point of emphasis for us to acknowledge him so rest in peace," they continued.
If you want to visit the mural for yourself, it can be found in the game’s depiction of Central Park, on one of the stone walls marking the perimeter of the park.
