PlayStation Plus premium users can now enjoy yet another game trial via their subscription with the latest offering being this year’s The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
The concept of ‘try before you buy’ is more important than ever. The cost of games keeps increasing with the release of each subsequent console generation and, of course, we also have the costs of consoles themselves and gaming subscriptions to consider.
Free trials allow us to see whether a game is to our liking before we go out and splash the cash.

Over on PlayStation, you’re going to need to subscribe to PlayStation Plus premium to access the widest array of free demos.
The service is packed full with recent releases from Baldur’s Gate 3 to Hogwarts Legacy.
Each demo varies in length but most stretch from two to four hours, giving you plenty of time to get a feel for the lay of the land.
The latest offering to be added is a two-hour free trial of The Last of Us Part II Remastered.

Take a look at our review of The Last of Us Part II Remastered below.
Back when The Last of Us Part II Remastered was announced, many of us questioned if such a game needed a remaster.
Part II already looked positively fantastic. The tweaked graphics and added DualSense features really do boost the immersion though.

Not only that but the added No Return roguelike mode is positively fantastic.
In our review, I awarded the game a perfect 10, writing, “As a full package, there’s nothing else you could possibly want from The Last of Us Part II Remastered. We all thought Part II was Naughty Dog’s magnum opus but Part II Remastered shows that there’s plenty more gas in the tank. If this is insight into what’s to come from the studio, I cannot wait to see what Naughty Dog is cooking up next.”
