If you thought that Hogwarts Legacy was already a gorgeous game, wait until you play it later in the year on Sony’s new console.

When Hogwarts Legacy was released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, before arriving on other platforms, developer Avalanche Software and publisher Warner Bros. Games instantly had a hit in its hands. Hogwarts Legacy went on to become the best-selling game of that year.

Check out the Hogwarts Legacy trailer below!

In Hogwarts Legacy, you play as a mysterious student enrolled in the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the fifth academic year during the late 1800s to the surprise of professors and students alike.

Simply put, Hogwarts Legacy is a Harry Potter’s dream video game whether you're embarking on epic quests or exploring the enchanting halls of Hogwarts Castle and its surrounding areas. However, if you’re planning on picking up a PlayStation 5 Pro, this magical game is going to look and perform better than ever.

What’s more, one of the best features of the PS5 Pro (which is certainly not its price), is the enhanced ray-tracing reflections and one of the games that will showcase those visuals more than most at launch is the aforementioned Hogwarts Legacy.

As shared in a tweet by DaReelSebas, a comparison screengrab was posted of an image taken from a Digital Foundry PS5 Pro analysis. “Ok, PlayStation 5 Pro, now you have my full attention…” they said.

“That’s easily the biggest upgrade I’ve seen on anything shown so far. It looks great,” replied SuperSavvyGames.

“Just like last-gen, we are finally going to start getting true next-gen experiences on flat titles once the Pro drops,” KevynBGrams responded. “We will also see a huge increase in performance and clarity on PSVR2.”

The PlayStation 5 Pro releases on 7 November 2024.
