All the excitement surrounding the PlayStation 5 Pro launch has seemingly disappeared as GTA VI fans begin roasting its performance gains.
It’s been such a poorly kept secret that the PlayStation 5 Pro would be launching soon, however, few expected its grand unveiling to go down so badly with gamers.
When oh when will we get a second GTA VI trailer? Until we do, let's rewatch this one
The biggest issue is the steep price tag, a fee that quickly increases thanks to a major hidden cost.

Perhaps if the performance differences seemed significant enough people would be kinder towards the new Sony hardware, but as GTA VI fans are making abundantly clear, the so-called improvements are underwhelming.
Rockstar Games players started to criticise the PS5 Pro when industry experts stated that, realistically, the new hardware won’t be able to play the new GTA at 60fps.
As shared on Reddit by Leading-Plan, experts’ standing is that it won’t be able to maintain that frame rate due to the complexities of the game.
“No. Grand Theft Auto games have always run complex simulations that push the CPU hard, which is why every GTA game has initially launched on their target platforms at 30fps (or lower!),” explained Digital Foundry’s tech editor Richard Leadbetter.

He continued, “The PS5 Pro uses the same CPU as the PS5, and it would be extremely challenging to hit 60fps if the base PS5 version is targeting 30fps. This isn’t a GPU problem, it’s a CPU problem.”
Nobody wants to hear this after waiting so long for the game, a game that still only has a single trailer to keep an entire fandom fed.
Moreover, with so many different features purportedly packed into the game to make it the biggest GTA yet, only running at 30fps will be considered unforgivable by many fans.
In response to the possible lack of 60fps, 2bucks40 said, “Hope not, 30fps is rough to look at after playing everything at 60fps...”

“You would think by now consoles would run on 60fps,” remarked lampla.
Another user than chimed in saying that if the PS5 Pro doesn’t run GTA VI at 60fps it’s “an even bigger scam than I thought”.
We won’t know for sure until we have better first-hand knowledge of both GTA VI and the PS5 Pro, however, none of what we’ve read thus far seems promising.
