It’s a long wait until GTA VI - it has already been over a decade - and there’s no better way to pass that time than by going back to GTA V.

That’s what I plan on doing as I’ve never actually played GTA V, I know, I know, it’s a mistake I regret daily.

Once you've polished off the main story there's always GTA Online to keep you going

Thankfully, the blockbuster game from Rockstar Games has landed on PlayStation Plus as part of the November line-up.

So, if you’re like me and haven’t ever found the time to play, or just simply passed on it for a long time, now is the perfect chance to play.

According to How Long to Beat, GTA V’s main campaign takes around 32 hours to complete, which wouldn’t pass a great deal of time.

However, throw in all the side missions and that total goes up to around 51 hours, providing you don’t get too lost just wandering around the city.

There’s so much to do, and that’s the exact reason I’ve put off playing GTA V for such a long time.

Knowing I’d have to devote so many hours to the game when I have lots of other games waiting in my backlog seems a monumental mountain to climb.

However, the hype for GTA VI is so vast that I’m constantly fighting the itch to dive into the well-loved game.

I plan on finally relenting over the Christmas break and spending my festive days shooting people and blowing things up, all while getting lost looking for those small details that make the game so great.

I know that it takes around 86 hours to complete everything in the game and polish it off to 100%.

That’s a lot, but even if I just get into the story with a few distractions here and there, I’ll get the enjoyment before out lives are taken over by the sixth mainline game in the series.
