Bloodborne fans rejoice, our remaster draws closer

Sony has to say something *this* time, surely

Sony, for some reason, doesn't want to talk about Bloodborne.

Nobody really knows why. FromSoftware's Stoke-On-Trent simulator was wildly successful, incredibly well reviewed, and has a loyal, passionate fanbase. So why does Sony often pretend like it doesn't exist?

There's a few theories floating around, but the most straightforward one is that FromSoftware are kind of busy and that Sony would want them onboard for a Bloodborne sequel/remaster/remake. FromSoftware released this little, barely known game a while back called Elden Ring that's been taking up all of their free time.

Still, sort of feels like everyone involved is taking a little too long at this point. Modders found a way to get a 60 FPS version of Bloodborne to run on original hardware a while back, and people are already hard at work trying to get it to run on PCs through emulators. Kinda feels like Sony needs to hurry up before their own fanbase beats them to it.

Fans even went into a frenzy after a PS5 version of Bloodborne's The Old Hunters DLC mysteriously popped up as a reward on the PlayStation Stars app a couple of weeks ago, proving that the hype for the game is still real.

And said hype recently hit unprecedentedly high levels this week, after the extremely popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat announced that he'd be marathoning Bloodborne until he beat it - starting today.

His announcement immediately got Bloodborne fans talking, mostly because he followed it up with another tweet regarding a remaster and a PC port. Suddenly, Twitter is ablaze with chatter regarding Bloodborne (although I suppose that kind of thing is bound to happen when someone with 2.3 million followers starts talking about it).

Hopefully this will spur Sony to at least make some kind of statement regarding Bloodborne's future, but we'll have to wait and see. We are getting suspiciously close to its 10 year anniversary though - just saying.
