With 10 games leaving PlayStation Plus, subscribers have until the end of the month to play Borderlands 3 at no additional cost.
Yesterday, we reported on 10 PlayStation Plus games that’ll be leaving the Extra tier game catalogue in August. On that list were fan-favourites like the Yakuza games, The Crew 2 and a few others, with a particularly heavy loss being Borderlands 3.
Check out the trailer for Borderlands 3 below
Borderlands 3 is a looter-shooter that follows a similar formula to previous entries in the series, shooting bad guys and taking their gear so you can shoot bad guys more effectively. It carries the same charm and humour that made the series so popular, as well as ramps up the destruction with more guns, abilities and general methods of mayhem.

Despite not being the most popular entry, it still has its fans, many of which will have likely played and enjoyed the game through PlayStation Plus, which previously included the first three games as part of The Handsome Collection, before they were pulled from the service as well.
The game’s removal from PS Plus will surely be a loss to some fans, but worry not, there’s always the chance of it returning as one of the monthly free games, or being re-added to the service in the future.
In the meantime, players are in luck, as PlayStation Plus is like a mythical Hydra, remove one game, and two more take its place. August is set to deliver several highly-rated games, to both the Extra game catalogue, as well as offer up new freebies to Essential tier subscribers and above.
The subscription service typically always delivers on 10/10 masterpieces, as well as charming indie-game gems that many players won’t have experienced, if they weren’t added to the monthly offerings.
