One of the latest mods for Starfield fixes the game’s most annoying gameplay feature, and makes jet packs cool again.
While you could argue Starfield is nothing more than a Fallout game in space, that’s not to say it’s bad, and with some of the recent updates, it’s actually worth revisiting if you put it down shortly after launch.

We can’t lie, cruising through space in your custom-built starship, and taking in the serene sights of several planets makes you feel like a true space explorer, but the game really opens up when you get the jetpack.

Unfortunately, the jetpack only propels the player upwards, you can’t zoom around at a fixed level for exploration and combat, at least until now.
Introducing the Fly Around With Jetpack mod, and you’ll never guess what it does.
The mod adds greater versatility to the jetpack, allowing you to alternate between vertical and horizontal movement.
Not only does this help you get from A to B a bit quicker than you would on foot, but it also unlocks a whole perspective to combat by letting you pick off enemies from the skies.
