The Elder Scrolls VI is coming, but that’s about the extent of what we know. Given that Bethesda is hard at work supporting Starfield, with the Shattered Space expansion set to land later this year, it’s going to be quite some time until the focus shifts onto another project.
In the meantime, that means we’ll have to replay Skyrim for the umpteenth time so it’s a good job that it just so happens to be an absolute banger. What truly makes Skyrim special though is the game’s unmatched modding community. We’re well over a decade on from Skyrim’s release and thanks to the creativity and skill of modders, we’re still continually having new experiences. The upcoming Lordbound mod plans to add over 60 hours of content, while Brigands of Skyrim adds a new enemy faction. There are so many mods to choose from but today, I’d like to highlight the fantastic Wyrmstooth.
To soften the blow of waiting, enjoy The Elder Scrolls VI’s original reveal trailer below.
Created by NexusMods user Jonx0r, Wyrmstooth adds a stellar new quest. The synopsis reads, “Wyrmstooth adds a new quest that takes the Dragonborn to the island of Wyrmstooth situated north of Solitude across the Sea of Ghosts. Battle across new landscapes and through new dungeons in this expansion-sized mod. The task may seem simple enough: slay a dragon that's stirring up trouble. But things never quite go that easily.” Intrigued? You should be.

The mod allows you to travel north across the Sea of Ghosts to Wyrmstooth where you’ll get to explore one of the largest dungeons in Tamriel. That’s not all. You can also purchase an abandoned imperial fort from Lurius Lore and hire staff to fend it from “unwanted visitors”, plus there will be a variety of new weapons, shields, and spells at your disposal. Take a look at the mod in action below.
There’s so much to explore and it’s a clear must-play mod for those of you who still enjoy bringing a new lease of life to Skyrim. The mod is completely free to download, and you can grab it from NexusMods now.
