It’s the 100th time of us saying this (or there abouts), but Skyrim really is the gift that keeps on giving. Sometimes that turn of phrase is overused, yet that isn’t the case here, as one of the RPG’s free downloads illustrates.
Skyrim: Wyrmstooth is a chunky mod that many players are singing the praises of, after a newcomer to the Bethesda’s title asked for help selecting the best mods to try during their playthrough. We can’t blame them for asking, considering the hundreds of expansions out there.
See what all the fuss is about in the Skyrim: Wyrmstooth trailer below
“Wyrmstooth is just such a solid pick, I always liked it because of just how well it fit in with vanilla Skyrim, and it has so much polish and detail added to the entire map,” shared one of the impressed veteran players of this DLC sized offering.

Another player “seconded” their opinion, saying, “I just played it for the first time and it's like a breath of fresh air.” Undoubtedly, the reason for its success is the crisp simplicity of what it delivers, thus making it the perfect add-on for both heavily modded and vanilla adventures.
“Wyrmstooth adds a new quest that takes the Dragonborn to the island of Wyrmstooth situated north of Solitude across the Sea of Ghosts. Battle across new landscapes and through new dungeons in this expansion-sized mod. The task may seem simple enough: slay a dragon that's stirring up trouble. But things never quite go that easily...” reads the NexusMods description.
If you want to breathe new life into your PC spelunking through Skyrim’s hidden dungeons, this “delight” is one of the most obvious first stops you should make on your way to sampling the top The Elder Scrolls V mods. Of course, there are ways to find new secrets in the game without mods.
You choose how you play Skyrim. However, just know that missing out on some of the widely praised mods will make your experience lesser for it.
