You all know the drill by now. As much as it pains me to say it, The Elder Scrolls VI is years away from release which means returning to our beloved Skyrim in the meantime.

That being said, there is a playable build of The Elder Scrolls VI in existence. It goes without saying that it’s not one you can play.

In fact, the game remains deep in development at Bethesda but it’s both interesting and exciting nonetheless to think that there’s even a primitive build out there.

While the devs are tinkering away creating a build that we can one day ourselves enjoy, you may want to dip back into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. After all, it is the gift that keeps on giving.

Skyrim boasts one of the most inventive and creative modding communities out there, which means that there’s always something new to discover, despite the fact that the game is 11 years old.

Today, I want to draw your attention to one of my personal favourite mods, ‘Midwood Isle’.

Take a look at the teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI below.

Created by NexusMods user DdsLedg, ‘Midwood Isle’ is a DLC-sized mod that introduces an enormous new area for players to explore called, you guessed it, Midwood Isle.

“Travel to the home of the Sonmer, Midwood Isle, an island to the north-west, far outside of Tamriel’s border. Discover about the Sonmer, their history and beliefs, as you face off against new enemies, solve puzzles, explore dungeons and more,” teases the description.

Midwood Isle is the size equivalent of roughly two Skyrim holds, and all NPCs are fully voiced with thousands of lines of dialogue having been brought to life.

There are 11 quests making up the main storyline, and 27 unique side quests, some of which link together.

There is also an “expansive Hearthfire-style house to purchase and build” complete with over 250 building objects.

As I’m sure you can see, there’s plenty to keep you busy so it’s no surprise that almost 525,000 have already downloaded this stellar mod. It’s free to download now over on NexusMods.
