The depths of Skyrim still harbours secrets waiting to be found in this fan-made expansion.
Bethesda created quite a large map in Skyrim without the assistance of mods. However, now that fans have had years to create additional areas to explore, it’s a seemingly endless experience.
Above water, players can explore a whole new land in Skyrim: Midwood Isle.

As for what lurks under the waves, there’s an expansion for that too.
‘More Underwater Treasures’ is available on NexusMods, and was created by AlexGH91. Their creation adds 91 underwater secrets to the map.

This works out as 56 newly added treasures around Skyrim, and 35 secrets in the waters of Solstheim.

Perhaps some of you were already going for a quick dip in between conquering dragons, but if not, now is the ideal moment to start your deep sea expeditions.
Well, you’re more likely to be heading to the bottom of a lake than the sea, but you get what we mean.
For an extra fantastical experience, one player suggested playing ‘More Underwater Treasures’ with “the mermaid mod” to make these underwater areas even “more interesting”.
Others are merely impressed by the simplicity of the mod.

There are other ways to experience Bethesda’s RPG anew, some of which allow you to keep your feet dry and firmly on land.
One player found this out after following their child across the map on a wild adventure.
It’s not just NPCs though, there are other secrets to unearth, like a treasure room filled with gold that’s so easily missed by fans.

We’re not getting The Elder Scrolls VI any time soon, so we might as well keep exploring Skyrim until we’ve seen every single bit of the map, both vanilla and modded.
