What we're about to say might be considered blasphemy, but try to stick with us until the end: sometimes you need to play something other than Skyrim. We know that sounds like a big ask considering how adored the game is, but there are quality experiences you're missing out on by not looking further afield.
You don't even need to fully leave Bethesda's fantastical RPG behind completely. This particular game is heavily inspired by Skyrim, and so it feels like you're playing an expansion of it, yet it offers a standalone adventure that those not familiar with the franchise can appreciate.
Ever wondered what 24 hours in Skyrim would look like? Well, wonder no more!
Enderal is a NexusMod that many will agree shouldn't be free given how "top-notch" it is – as far as one fan is concerned, "nothing can top this masterpiece". We're hard pushed not to agree; it's just exceptional.

"Absolutely wonderful game," shared another. "Excellent landscapes, building and towns; super voice acting and script; intriguing plotline. All the advantage of Skyrim's familiarity set in a different world with different lore. And many Skyrim mods just work (If you use Vortex it will warn you if it won't). Enderal is a terrific mod."
The praise just won't stop coming. From players saying the voice acting is "better than Skyrim's", there's others who assure doubters that they'll soon forget about The Elder Scrolls V once you've played Enderal. That's quite the ringing endorsement.
If you're still on the fence about playing this legendary RPG, read this comment: "Finished this game recently and just here to try stave off my post-completion depression. It was f**king incredible, definitely as blockbuster as this trailer makes it seem." If that doesn't move you, nothing will. And that means you'll miss out on a journey that few officially made games can come close to.
