Need For Speed is back - and my god, it looks better than ever thanks to these enhancement mods.
While I've always been partial to the Forza series on Xbox instead, there's no denying that the Need For Speed series is an all-time great in terms of racing games.
Check out the trailer for the new Silent Hill 2 remake below.
For that reason, it's a good thing a new game is reportedly on the way, though it hasn't been officially confirmed yet so take it with a pinch of salt.

The Need For Speed game we're talking about today though is not a new title, rather an existing one that's been given a fresh coat of paint.
It's none other than Need For Speed Underground 2, a fan-favourite within the series that's dying for a re-release, perhaps as a racing bundle.
The remastered version of the game was shared in a YouTube video, with the remaster itself boasting a visually enhanced version of the game running at a 4K resolution, very impressive.
This was, of course, achieved with mods, and some of the other cool details it adds are raytracing to make the reflections of puddles and surfaces really pop, and obviously a faster framerate than you’d get in the base version of the game.

As you can imagine, fans in the comment section were very impressed with the results, with one fan saying, ”We definitely need a remake”, in response to the improved visuals.
Other fans were hit with a blast of nostalgia at seeing the old game brought back, with one saying, “I miss this game”, and another calling it “the good old days".
Now if you’d like to replicate these effects for yourself, it’s pretty easy to do so provided you’ve got a decent PC.
There are plenty of guides online for the type of mods you’ll need, as well as where to find them, so take a look if you’re interested.
