The Last Of Us Part 2 free download available to claim now

Don’t be the last to claim this!

You can claim a free download just by picking up the latest release of The Last of Us Part II from developer Naughty Dog.

When The Last of Us was first released on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, it not only became one of Naughty Dog’s best properties alongside the likes of Uncharted, but its protagonists Ellie and Joel instantly became PlayStation mascots.

Over the years, we’ve seen various re-releases of The Last of Us with a sequel as well as remasters and a remake. Following the success of The Last of Us Part II on PS4 in 2020, fans are now eagerly awaiting news on The Last of Us Part III, which has already been teased by Naughty Dog chief, Neil Druckmann.

However, before the third numbered entry arrives, PC fans can look forward to the launch of The Last of Us Part II Remastered which was originally released for the PlayStation 5 last year. Oh, and we also have a new IP to look forward to, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet starring Tati Gabrielle.

Announced last year, the PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered will have all the additional bells and whistles as the PlayStation 5 counterpart such as improved visuals, performance and modes but also ultra-widescreen support, an uncapped framerate and more.

In our review of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5, we said: “As a full package, there’s nothing else you could possibly want from The Last of Us Part II Remastered. We all thought Part II was Naughty Dog’s magnum opus but Part II Remastered shows that there’s plenty more gas in the tank.”

If you decide to pre-order The Last of Us Part II right now, you can claim free content in the form of early access to the in-game ammo capacity upgrade and crafting training manual.

That being said, I’d recommend against using it. Even though this early access content is granted to you for free, I avoided it because it would have made the game a bit less enjoyable, in my opinion.

A big part of The Last of Us series is about the desperation for resources to survive and this early access content takes part of that element away but it’s ultimately your choice, of course.

The Last of Us Part II is out now on PlayStation and the PC version arrives on 3 April 2025.
