The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI continues but with another ten months to go, players are resorting to desperate measures, even if that means turning Grand Theft Auto V into the next entry.

With technology ever advancing, there is no denying that Grand Theft Auto VI will look on a whole different level to 2013’s Grand Theft Auto V, especially when it comes to graphics.

Hey, it will even look better than Red Dead Redemption 2 which is hard to believe as the 2018 Rockstar hit revolutionised the look and detail that video games are capable of.

We already know that Grand Theft Auto VI will perhaps be the most stunning game of all time, littered with small details, Easter eggs, and mysteries that will still be discovered years on from release.

However, we should also mention the elephant in the room.

First planned to launch in Fall 2025, Grand Theft Auto VI was later delayed to 26 May 2026 before finally being pushed back to 19 November 2026.

At the time of writing, the highly anticipated title is expected to launch in less than ten months and so, as long as we are not hit with another delay, we could be deep into our time in Vice City and beyond by this time last year.

In the meantime, however, fans are eager for more and whilst some have resorted to partaking in criminal acts in desperation, others are doing something slightly more normal.

Such as Youtuber Digital Dreams who has found a way to turn Grand Theft Auto V into Grand Theft Auto VI, well, when it comes to its potential graphics and performance.

“I Made GTA 5 Even Closer To GTA 6..” The title reads alongside a just under ten-minute video showcasing GTA V as you have never seen it before.

By pushing the limits of graphics, Digital Dreams has released a mod on their free Patreon.

The video showcases Los Santos and beyond in crisp and clear detail and although we do not see any character models, we can see environments, driving gameplay, and some iconic locations from the game.

Users took to the comments to share their thoughts.

“Man, the graphics of the PS3 version right here really hold up!!

I thought MGS 4 and Gran Turismo were the best looking games on the system but I was totally wrong!”

Another agreed, adding, “Anyone who dislikes a video like this is very envious and bitter about life!

“The video is beautiful. GTA 5 is on another level with the modifications.”

This gives us just a glimpse at what Grand Theft Auto VI could look like when it launches this November but in the meantime, it seems as though another visit to Los Santos is on the cards.
