With 2024 now underway, we can officially say that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch next year. A very exciting thought, indeed.
Given that we’ve had the trailer in our hands for just over a month, it won’t come as a surprise to you that fans have completely picked every frame apart for clues. Some even went as far as locating the game’s strip club in real life Miami, all in the name of ‘research’. The so-called Florida Joker is STILL threatening Rockstar due to his inclusion in the game. After originally demanding a payout, the individual is now claiming that he’ll break the GTA VI hacker out of prison but let’s bring it back to what matters the most, the game itself.

While we still have a long wait ahead of us for GTA VI, it may be a nice time to revisit old favourites in the franchise - which is exactly what one creator decided to do after giving Grand Theft Auto IV a stunning 8K ray-traced overhaul. The project comes from the ever brilliant Digital Dreams over on YouTube who was able to remaster GTA IV’s map in GTA V. Let me tell you, Liberty City has never looked better. Take a look below.
Those puddle reflections are even clearer than what I see in my own mirrors after a Windex freshen up. Oh how far technology and graphics have come. Needless to say, fellow fans are already blown away. “Damn. That looks better than GTA V itself,” wrote one viewer, while another added, “Damn [such] a good job. True remaster. Hope to watch the same work on Need For Speed Underground 2.” Oo, that is a great shout. I too would like to see that.

What’s even better is that Digital Dreams make many of their ReShade presets available to download via their Patreon so if you too favour PC gaming, you might want to have a gander and give a few old favourites a new lick of paint.
