Oh my. It’s set to be an incredibly exciting week for Fallout fans. We’re mere days away from the premiere of Amazon Prime’s TV adaptation.
Consisting of eight episodes, Fallout will debut on 11 April - and it boasts a stellar cast.
Fallout stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Matt Berry, just to name a few of the show’s familiar faces.

There’s impressive talent behind the scenes too, with Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan serving as showrunners on the series with Bethesda’s Todd Howard acting as an executive producer.
It’s not exactly Fallout 5 but it’s the next best thing. In fact, Howard previously said that Joy and Nolan were instructed to cut certain plot points because they do actually feature in Fallout 5.
As we’re all aware though, Fallout 5 is a long, long way off. If Amazon’s TV adaptation does indeed leave you desperate to once again dive into a Fallout game, I wholly recommend the Fallout 4 ‘Horizon’ mod for those of you looking for a revised and original experience.
We sat down with the cast of Fallout to play snog, marry, irradiate. Take a look below.
Created by NexusMods user Zawinul, the ‘Horizon V 1.9’ mod totally overhauls Fallout 4 and is completely free to download.

It quite literally contains thousands of adjustments to the game so, with that in mind, it’s nigh impossible for me to list all of those adjustments here. I’ll do my best to touch on the highlights though.
The goal of the mod is to make Fallout 4’s “gameplay more balanced, challenging, and interesting” which includes overhauling combat, exploration, crafting and survival.
The hope is that each mechanic then feels interesting, fun, and integral to the overall gameplay experience.
The mod adds a new skill system, the ability to level up companions, adjustments to healing, brand new buff and utility items, rebalanced weapons, new melee and ranged weapons, new mod armour slots, new lock breaching methods, new ammo types, new settlement vendors and decorations, a new settlement progression system, a kill tracker, a new fast travel system, a new mailbox system, and multiple new difficulty options.

It’s recommended that you embark on a brand new playthrough if you are looking to sample the Horizon mod.
If the mod sounds familiar to you, it has been around since 2016 but is constantly being updated by creator Zawinul with the latest 1.9 version landing just a few days ago so it’s well worth diving back into.
