Cyberpunk 2077 free download fixes one of our biggest problems with the game

Finally, it's been fixed!

Few redemption arcs ever work out as beautifully as Cyberpunk 2077, yet the game still has issues yet to be ironed out.

The likelihood of those niggling problems being removed now that CD Projekt Red has moved onto The Witcher 4 has deceased, and so fans are taking matters into their own hands.

Of all the aspects of gameplay that bugs players, the inventory user interface is a major sticking point. As a result, one fan decided to fix the problem.

NexusMods’ ‘Inventory UI Fixer’ delivers a solution to “some of the issues” that’s plagued fans since launch.

Specifically, “whenever you unequip a cyberdeck, it now correctly updates the icon to show that there are no programs installed.”

Furthermore, “The program slots now correctly update when you now longer have any available program to install on your cyberdeck.”

Granted, this mod isn't a hefty expansion like the 194 new quests in ‘Missing Persons’, however, for some players it does infinitely more with a hell of a lot less.

This fan-made update is brand spanking new. No, really – it was only created this month. What this means, above all else, is that few fans have had the opportunity to discover the simple joy this UI fix brings.

After learning of what we could have had, thanks to a second major expansion getting leaked online, the Cyberpunk 2077 fandom needs a pick-me-up right about now.

We may never go to the moon, but we will be able to navigate the inventory with ease; it’s not the victory we wanted, but it’s one we deserve.

All eyes are on The Witcher 4, at least as far as CDPR is concerned, as the devs work towards the epic sequel of our dreams.

You can choose to prepare for battle by revisiting the “last secret” of The Witcher 3, or by returning to Night City for yet another postmodernist romp.

Just make sure to head to NexusMods first, should Night City be your destination.
