You can never have too many Batman adaptations and thanks to one video creator, we can take a sneak peek at what the superhero would look like in a new Unreal Engine project.
Using Unreal Engine 5, one YouTuber has created a trailer snippet of a Batman Beyond inspired cutscene and it looks incredible. Despite only being 30 seconds long, the trailer shows the caped crusader standing overlooking what we can imagine to be Gotham City whilst the rain pours around him. After taking a radio call, he gets ready to hop into his Batplane and no doubt take on the city’s villains.

“What would a live-action Batman Beyond film look like?” asks the trailer’s creator. “Using the power of Unreal Engine 5, I'll show you. This is the teaser trailer for my full two-minute concept trailer for what a live-action Batman Beyond movie would look and feel like.”

Batman Beyond was a TV series that ran for three seasons starting in 1999. It told the “exciting adventures of a new Batman when Gotham is in desperate need of a new superhero to combat gangs.” It was axed suddenly ahead of its fourth season with no official reasoning revealed but we can probably guess it was down to low ratings. Despite this, many fans have been waiting for a revival of the show.
“People really don’t understand how amazing the show was and the absolute potential it holds for one of the best comic book movies of all time”, read one comment on the trailer with another praising the YouTuber’s creation, “Dude, you did something that should be absolutely made by a major studio. We have to get this done through a petition or something. Good work!”
Despite no signs of a Batman Beyond remake, fans can keep hoping but for now, seeing what it could look like in modern day is enough to keep them excited.
