The Legend Of Zelda series could be getting the remake we’ve been waiting for on the Nintendo Switch 2, hopefully.

We say hopefully because at the time of writing it could go either way, we know the Nintendo Switch 2 will have a nice first-party line-up when it launches, and of that line-up it feels like a new Zelda game is a given.

Take a look at the Nintendo Switch 2 below, with more news to follow in the coming months when the next Nintendo Direct drops

Recently an online storefront has teased knowledge of the games being released for Nintendo’s shiny new console, like the new Mario Kart game, an unannounced Mario platformer and of course that Zelda game.

It feels like the storefronts are just making safe bets but it has got fans thinking about what that new Zelda game could be, if it exists at all.

In a Reddit thread discussing it, the game at the top of everyone’s mind is the long-awaited Zelda: The WInd Waker remake, or more specifically the Wii U remake that has been dying for a Switch port ever since.

“New Mario seems likely. Zelda is a remake they say, so hopefully Wind Waker” said one fan, and another replied saying “just give me the WindWaker & TP HD ports so we can have a system with all console Zeldas available.”

Others suggested Zelda: Ocarina of Time could get the remake treatment, as could Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons to match the Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake.

It’s far too early to tell, but Nintendo has confirmed a closer look at the Nintendo Switch 2 in April of this year so if there’s any time to show off some new hardware, that’d be it.

Personally I’d be down for a Zelda: Majora’s Mask remake but that’s just me, I know the majority want Wind Waker more.
