One dedicated fan has remade Pokémon Yellow, and you can download the game for free.
There is one catch though, this is a ROM hack so do bear that in mind.
Pokémon Yellow launched on the Game Boy Advance back in 1996, so a remake is well overdue.

I have a huge nostalgia for the Game Boy Advance era of Pokémon games, so I’m delighted to see that one fan took it upon themselves to create this stellar project.
Titled Recharged Yellow, this faithful remake is the work of Twitter user JaizuFangaming and is available to download from Ko-fi.
When you visit the Ko-fi page, it’ll ask how much you want to donate to the project’s creator.
You can put in nothing if you simply want to nab the download for free but of course, this is a nice opportunity to compensate Jaizu for their work.

ICYMI: Pokémon Legends Z-A will launch next year. Take a look at the game’s initial trailer below.
As this is a ROM hack, you’ll need a clean ROM of the base game.
To state the obvious, Jaizu cannot supply the base .gba files for legal reasons.

If you tick that box, you can read through Jaizu’s easy-to-follow instructions in order to get the remake files installed.
As for what the remake entails, a Pokémon follower system has been added, and Kanto has been rebuilt in Pokémon Emerald’s engine.
This includes RTC, berries, contests, and post-game facilities.
The Pokémon icons are now richer in detail, reflecting if your Pokémon is shiny, plus there’s now a built-in hard mode, nuzlocke mode, and level cap.

Jessie and James have been added, the Sevii Islands have been revamped, and several quality of life changes have been implemented.
Oh the hours I’m sure we could all lose to this remake. Pokémon Recharged Yellow is available to enjoy now.
