The Pokémon Company has been teasing a spooky and creepy reveal for later today, that will give us some more insight into what we can expect in Pokémon Legends: Z-A when it launches on the Nintendo Swi– oh, nevermind, they accidentally just leaked it early.
Over the past couple of days, several official Pokémon social media pages have been teasing a rather unnerving, live-action video that will give us a glimpse into what we can expect from the new Nintendo Switch 2 game.
You can take a look for yourself over on this post on the official Pokémon Japan Twitter account, which implies that a video titled “The Case of the Sweet Scent Incident” is going to drop at 2pm BST today.
The phrase “Sweet Scent” could refer to a few Pokémon, but there’s no need to guess… because the video description (which has since been taken down) outright confirmed which ‘Mon they’re teasing.

As a post on the Go Nintendo site confirmed, the video description originally stated “What truths about Mega Victreebel and its Trainer will spill out by the end?”
Alright, no prizes for figuring out what the video is going to contain then.
Over on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, fans are certain that this, once again, means that the previously leaked list of Mega Evolutions is 100% correct.
“From the teaser I was figuring it'd be one of the other leaked ones, but definitely not complaining about seeing this one now”, commented user Lizuka.

“It's waaaaay overdue for Victreebel to get some love.”
“Yeah, this further cements that list. Now give me Mega Hawlucha and Mega Excadrill!” replied user Torracattos.
In case you missed it, last month fans realised that a leaked list of Mega Evolutions suddenly seemed extremely accurate, based on the fact that the design of Mega Dragonite that it featured lined up with the reveal we received from Nintendo in a Pokémon Legends: Z-A promotional video.
Here’s hoping that the Mega Feraligatr form looks cool as hell.
