Pokémon fans divided over Diglett's appearance underground

Pokémon fans divided over Diglett's appearance underground

What secrets are the little guys hiding?

Diglett is, if you ask me, adorable - and I don’t think I’m alone in holding that opinion.

That being said, my stance might change once we’ve reached the end of this particular discussion.

You see, Pokémon fans are keen to discover what Diglett looks like beneath the surface of the ground.

I can understand the curiosity. It can’t simply just end where it meets the ground.

Does Diglett have little legs it uses to dig? Does it burrow through the ground like a worm?

These are important questions, although questions that could yield cursed results.

The truth is that we don’t have an official answer but naturally, Pokémon fans have taken to debating over on Reddit.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is set to launch in 2025 - and is supposedly launching on both the Nintendo Switch and its yet-to-be-announced successor.

“What if a Diglett is really a Weedle that has spent so much time in the ground that it has literally changed to adapt itself to the environment,” posed GenericOnlineName.

“The broken ground around its ‘head’ is actually part of its body. It sort of creeps over the ground on a thousand tiny legs and blends in so as to appear to be sticking out of the ground,” wrote a now-deleted user.

What a horrifying thought. I told you it would get cursed.

“It's just a one inch deep cylinder,” argued trafikant, which I find a tad hard to believe.

The most logical explanation is that Diglett has little legs like a mole, something that’s referenced in several Pokémon games.

“In Red and Blue Rescue Team, Diglett mentions how his feet feel like they're walking on air, so it must have some type of body underground,” explained DarkStar5758.

The question is, will we ever see those feet? Which I now see is a weird question to type.
