The Nintendo Switch 2 announcement should be with us in the next few weeks, hopefully, and the leaks just keep on coming.

Now many of these Nintendo leaks can be dismissed as quite a few are just bold claims made to get a bit of internet cred, and shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Nevertheless it’s exciting to see all the buzz around Nintendo’s next console, and how could there not be with games like Pokémon Legends: Z-A on the way from it

The hot topic at the moment aside from the design of the console itself is the list of games it’ll launch alongside.

Fans are predicting a new 3D Super Mario game along with a new Mario Kart as launch titles, and possibly the Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild remaster rumoured to be in development.

According to new leaks from a French video game retailer Micromania, the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch with 25 games available to buy and play, priced between €69-€79. That’d likely be around £59-£69 in the UK.

The Nintendo Switch 2 itself will supposedly cost around €399 which could equate to around £349 in the UK based on other consoles around the same price.

Those are significant increases in price compared to the Nintendo Switch, and it’s something many fans will likely take offence to even though it’s a more powerful console.

Nintendo Switch Online will also see a price increase around the launch of the console too, apparently.

In a Reddit thread reacting to the leaks one fan claimed Micromania is “always overpriced’ so take from that what you will.

Another said “I do kinda expect NSO to get more expensive but Nintendo better find a damn good justification for that.”

Obviously we need to take this with a pinch of salt as again it could just be users looking for internet clout, but it wouldn’t be that surprising to find out it’s true.
