Out of all of the various major gaming subscription services, Nintendo’s is the most reasonable.

Yes, it might not offer the best benefits, but it’s not too shabby.

For just $19.99, you can secure a year of the base version of Nintendo Switch Online or for $49.99 a year, you can enjoy the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack version.

Both include online play, access to a catalogue of Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, and Nintendo Entertainment System classic titles, Game Chat, as well as exclusive offers.

The pricer version then also includes access to GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and Virtual Boy classic game catalogues, as well as expansion and upgrade packs for games including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and more.

Currently, though, buyers of the second tier of Nintendo Switch Online can also nab a free extension of their membership.

Grab A Free Bonus Month In This Limited Time Offer

Nintendo has revealed an offer where you can secure one additional free bonus month of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

All you have to do to activate the offer is visit the offer page and purchase a standard 12-month individual or family version of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack which, as mentioned, retails at $49.99.

Make sure you select the big ol’ button that says “activate the offer”.

The offer is only available until 28 July at 11.59pm PT.

It’s noted that the bonus month will automatically be added to your account within three business days of the membership purchase.

It’s Available To Both New And Existing Nintendo Switch Online Users

There is a nice little bonus to this offer; you don’t need to take out a new membership if you’re already subscribed.

“Already a member? Existing Nintendo Switch Online members can also take advantage of this offer and unlock a free bonus month if you activate this offer and change from a Nintendo Switch Online membership to a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership,” Nintendo notes.

“Existing Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can also receive a bonus month by activating the offer and renewing their membership or adding another year to their current one.”

That’s really great to see, as offers on PlayStation Plus, for example, more often than not apply to new subscribers and not pre-existing users.

Nabbing a single bonus free month, of course, isn’t the biggest deal of the century.

That being said, gaming subscription costs soon add up if you use multiple consoles, so any saving is welcomed.
