As we get closer and closer to a supposed reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are getting antsy as to what’s inside the console.
Of course, we don’t have a lot to go on, but that hasn’t stopped players on Reddit from debating certain details like the memory and the storage capacity.

One fans asks, “Are we pretty sure about 12GB of RAM for the Nintendo Switch 2?”

This comes from a shipping manifest that showed Nintendo ordering parts for the console, and many were quick to notice that the Switch 2 is due to have 12GB of RAM.
While some are sceptical that Nintendo are actually using 12GB for the memory, some are backing it up from developer discussions, insisting that the boost is needed.
“Many developer interviews I’ve watched talk about the Switch 1’s bottleneck on 4GBRAM,” said Fpssims.
Other users are commenting on the type of RAM apparently ordered and seem impressed.

“Not only is 12gb confirmed, Nintendo went with the more expensive lpddr5x, which is nearly 20gb/sec more memory bandwidth than people were expecting,” reports dexterward4621.
This will be a huge jump for the handheld and most are in agreement that the Nintendo Switch struggles with bottlenecks that hamper gameplay.
Though, there’s no doubt that developers have got the best out of the system until now, with one user giving an account of their experience, “I’ve 100% Doom 2016 on switch, and it was a great experience, I love being able to hold an entire AAA game in my hands like that.”
Now to imagine what the Switch 2 will feel like.

I know I’m getting antsy about this now. It would be great to see something concrete from Nintendo and the developers supporting it as the handheld market begins to grow and thrive again.
